At the age of 16, Jen-Bea Englishman came to Toronto from small-town Ontario, supported herself by working in cafes, and sang at open mic nights at local folk clubs. She soon met musician/producer Doc, through a friend of a friend, and they started recording tracks in Doc's aprtment - Esthero was born.

Her first album Breath From Another, released when she was 18, sold over 250,000 copies worldwide and she was soon being compared to Bjork and Billie Holiday.

Esthero is 25 now and with her much-anticipated new release, Wikked Lil' Grrrls, she's working with industry heavyweights like Sean Lennon and rapper Cee-Lo Green.
